He was predeceased by: his parents, Val T. Blackwell and Verna Mae Blackwell; his wife Carolyn S. Blackwell; and his brother-in-law Bob Leftridge. He is survived by: his sister Rebecca Leftridge; his sibling's children, Kelly Durrwachter (Jeff), Krista Buxton (David) and Kevin Leftridge (Shannon); his stepson Brian Dixon (Paula); his stepgrandchildren, Heather Mosier (Aaron) and Blake Dixon (Jessica); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Hattie, Josh, Morgan and Mason; and also Mike O'Neail. He is also survived by neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home (220 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel (220 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020).
