He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Franklin and Nora Mae Seckel (Blankenship); and his brothers, Lewis, Leonard, Fuzz, Harvey, Lum Seckel and Ernie Clayton.

He is survived by : his sisters, Emma Jean Clayton, Shirley Kier (Dean) and Rose Downing (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
