It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Lois Schmitz of Defiance, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Peggy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Peggy farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her father William; her siblings, Thelma Wilde, James Curley and William Curley; and her husband Jerome Schmitz.
She is survived by: her stepsons, Steven Schmitz and Jeff Williams. She is also survived by grandchildren, (6) great grandchildren, her brother in law, (2) sister in laws and multiple nieces & nephews.
