She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter L. Sikes and Regina M. Schmidt-Sikes; her siblings, Dennis Sikes and Carol Lea Eisenbach; and her grandson Tyler Vanover.
She is survived by: her children, James W. Heaton III (Sue), Shelia Brock (Mark) and Sherry Vanover; her brother Austin Lee Sikes; her grandchildren, Ben Ray (Madison), Marshall Heaton (Allison), Lisa Heaton and Stacey Heaton; and her stepgrandchildren, Brian Brock and Corey Brock. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
