He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Mensing and Violet Lettington (Joan Mensing); and his siblings, Rita Bish and Roland Mensing. He is survived by: his son Dustin Mensing of Des Arc, MO; and his siblings, Emily McCauley (Charles) of Reinbeck, IA and Larry Mensing of Indianola, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
