He was predeceased by: his stepbrother Steve Scott. He is survived by: his parents, Billy K. Slaughter of Ellsinore, Missouri and Donna Bufford Johnston; his wife Rhonda Shelton; his stepfather Frank Johnston of Oklahoma; his daughter Kristin Blunt (Jordan) of Essex, Missouri; his siblings, Jeff Slaughter of Poplar Bluff, Brian Baker of St. Louis, James Scott of Ellsinore, Missouri and Dina Slaughter of Lawton, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Quinton David and Morgan Claire.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
