He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest C. Bland and Lynn Priest Bland; and his grandson Gabriel Sample. He is survived by: his pet Blackie; his close friend Mutt; his wife Carol; his children, Kevin Bland of Mission Viejo, Michelle Bland of Redlands and Joel Bland (Joey) of Wappapello, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Hunter Bland, Jake Bland, Natalie Evans, Landen Sample and Haley Sample; and his sister Patricia Cooper (Larry).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841).
The family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, or to the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis, Missouri, in Dave's memory.
