He was predeceased by: his parents, James O'Dell and Letha Martin O'Dell; his son Marlin W. O'Dell; his sisters, Elizabeth "Bess" Riggs, Freida Warren, Katherine Robinson and Norma June Fortner; and his grandchildren, Stan Harris and Jackie Sanders.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Morgan (Denny) of Dexter and Terri O'Dell of Dexter, Missouri; his siblings, Charles O'Dell (Joan) of Dexter, Missouri and Delsa Hessbein (Carl) of St. Peters, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Jolene, John, Kyle, Taylor and Danielle. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
