He was predeceased by: his parents, Denzil B. Houk and Ella Marie Utt Houk; and his stepson Todd Young. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Nuckolls (Rob) of Bates City and Cindi Creech (Ronnie) of Republic, Missouri; his stepchildren, Tammy Boyle (Darrin) of Bernie, Missouri and Chad Young (Brandi) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jacklyn Creech, Alex Creech, Jared Patterson, Jessica Nuckolls, Jenna Nuckolls, Jake Young, Lindsey Tymchenko, Dillon Young and Jesse Lee Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Carlie Hart, Chase Hart, Jett Brotz, Brooks Johnson, Cole Johnson, Ethan Nuckolls, Anthony Nuckolls, Chance Nuckolls, Teddy Tymchenko and Rosie Tymchenko. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Bernie (113 W Crumb Ave, Bernie, MO 63822). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bernie Cemetery (302 W Main Ave, Bernie, MO 63822).
