He is survived by: his wife Mary Cannon; his children, Mike Cannon (Tess) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donna Cannon of Essex, Tammy Cannon and Lorie Cannon of Long Beach, California; his stepson Randy Penick of Dexter, Missouri; his daughter-in-law Tiffany Penick of Garden Grove, California; his sisters, Norma Gibbons of Myrtle Beach and Jo Ann Smith (Bob) of Dallas, Texas; and his grandchildren, Lorin McClung of Sikeston, Holden McClung of Long Beach, California, Jamisen Penick of Boise, Emily Penick of Garden Grove, California, Feurene, Sasha and Julian.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Dexter (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Loy and Mary were faithful members of Southwest Church of Nazarene, their church building experienced a fire, and it was Loy's wishes that memorial contributions be made to the church: Southwest Church of Nazarene, 606 Albert Street, Dexter, Missouri 63841.
