It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Alan McMunn (Dexter, Missouri), who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Michael Alan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Michael Alan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie McMunn and Ruby McMunn (Martin). He is survived by: his children, Shannon Wondel (Chris) of Painton, Cory McMunn of Dexter and Sarah McMunn of Dexter; his close friend Theresa Varner; and his grandchildren, Chloe Lemmon of Dexter, Delaney Lemmon of Dexter, Carly McMunn of Dexter and Lane McMunn of Dexter. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins Funeral Home (301 N Walnut St, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
