We announce the death of Sheila Joy Gibbins-Taylor of Dexter, Missouri, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 77. Sheila will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Smith Burress and Wanda Faye Burress (Rhodes); her husbands, Kenneth Earl Gibbins and Aaron Jackson Taylor, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Ella-Claire and Luke Kimes; and her niece Caitlin Burress.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Gibbons (Lindsey) of Portageville and Lisa Winkle (Keven) of Dexter, Missouri; her grandchildren, Britany Kimes (Tyler), Summer Alexander, Clark Ledford (Tara), Payton Gibbins (Hilary), Abby Johnson (Clay), Lorelei Gibbins and Colt Gibbins; her brother Terry Burress (Ramona) of Tennessee; her aunts, Joy Fender and Mary Turner; her great grandchildren, Bailey, Avery, Mila, Finley, Waylon and Lincoln; Bailey, Avery, Mila, Finley, Waylon and Lincoln. She is also survived by nephew; many cousins; and countless dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Delisle Funeral Home (209 W Main St, Portageville, MO 63873). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
