It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veda Imogene (Brown Sparks) McCollough of Dexter, Missouri, born in Morehouse, Missouri, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Brown and Agnes May Fancher Brown; and her siblings, Johnnie Brown, Billie Brown, Wilma Huffman, Eugene and Betty.

She is survived by : her former life partner George Roland Sparks; her spouse Dale McCollough; her daughter Karen Hann (Julian) of Russellville, Arkansas; her siblings, Bob Brown of Seattle, Washington, Shirley Barnes of Sikeston and Mary Sue Davis of Morehouse, Missouri; her grandchildren, Tracy Hann of Sikeston, Angie Whiting (Shane) of Dover, Cory Hann (Erica) of Cabot and Jason Hann (Sarah) of Russellville, Arkansas; her great grandchildren, Thad Owens, Spencer Owens, Logan Akins, Abigail Hann, Ava Hann, Jacob Hann, Esther Hann and Micah Hann; and her great great grandchildren, Cameron Akins and Carter Akins.
