She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Noah and Dora Mae Carter (Grisham); and her siblings, Kenneth "Bob" Carter, Arlie Carter, Erma Hance, Norma Russell, Mildred Felkerson and Dorothy Carter.
She is survived by: her husband Yarol Thompson of Dixon; and her sons, Jimmy (Linda Thompson), Johnny (Tammy Thompson) and Jerry (Jill Thompson). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network), honoring Vivian's compassionate heart and the causes she held dear.
