He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Helms and Ella J. Helms (Holland); and his sons, Paul Helms and Tim Helms. He is survived by: his wife Betty Helms (Nicholson); his daughters, Mary Bice (Eddie) of Doniphan, Deborah Owens (Richard) of Doniphan and Diane Stadler of Doniphan; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Helms of Doniphan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel (606 Walnut St, Doniphan, MO 63935). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
