She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Canterbury and Grace Emily Lutz Canterbury; her former husband Lawrence Marion Baker; her son Melvin Baker; her daughter-in-law Mary Baker; and her siblings, Evelyn Nolte, Marcella Dillard, Virginia Cavet, Carl and Leroy Canterbury.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Benton (Gary) of Harrisburg, MO and Fred Lee Baker (Christine) of Downing, MO; and her husband Lewis. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Liberty Full Gospel Church. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the First Liberty Full Gospel Church in Kirksville, MO.
