She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Gordy and Lola Gordy; her husband Delwin Colgan; her siblings, Royce (Hildred Gordy), Marilyn (Donnie Lyons) and Ronald (Anne Gordy); and her brother-in-law Tom Steyer.
She is survived by: her sons, Merritt Colgan (Sheryl) of Las Vegas and Mitch Colgan (Jacque) of Woodstock, Georgia; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Colgan of Atlanta, Collin Colgan, Maddux Colgan and Jillian Colgan of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her siblings, Janet Wheelock (Jerry) of Altoona, Iowa, Melvin Gordy (Linda), Kenny Gordy (Cindy) of Bloomfield, Iowa, Diane Hollenbeck (John) of Columbia, Missouri, Judy Gordy of Conroe, Texas and Patti Gordy of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
