She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Gunnels and Helen Ruth Gunnels; her brother Jim Bob; her nephew Jeremy Gunnels; her brother Joseph Jacobs (Kathy Purkey); and her parents-in-law, Elmer and Sarah Alene Jacobs.

She is survived by: her husband Don Jacobs; her daughters, Dawn Denise Elffner (Del) and Jennifer Martin (Chuck); her siblings, Jay Gunnels, Jo Billingsly (Tim) and Jan Rush; her sister-in-law Jackie Gunnels; her grandchildren, Marissa Townley (Tanner), Alec Elffner, Jacob Martin (Laura), Mason Martin (Kenna) and Abby Elffner; and her great grandchild Emerie Rae Townley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers to Kansas City Hospice House or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
