He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank P. Waychus and Vera Waychus (Logeman); his brother David Waychus; and his son Shane. He is survived by: his wife Rosetta Stevens; his pets, Pebbles, Penny, Stinky and Lucky; his children, Danielle Patterson (Chris), Meghan Landers (Thad), Markus Hamlett and Joslyn Waychus; his grandchildren, Kayden, Tegan, Jaydon, Taelyn Landers, Porter and Pepper Patterson; his sister Ruth Powers; his siblings-in-law, Terri Johns (Lester) and Doug Stevens; and his nieces and nephews, Lindsay Hanson, Christina Pittsenbarger (Morris), Lance Johns (Jan), David Johns (Diane), Tim Johns (Polly), Sherman Lee Stevens and Nick Stevens (Lindsay).
