He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Johnson and Bessie Curtner Johnson; his children, Debbie Dickson and Danny Cobb; and his siblings, Lloyd Johnson, Terry Johnson and Evelyn Limbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Breece Johnson; his children, Rhonda Phelps (Skeeter) of Sikeston, Steve Johnson (Angela) of East Prairie, Joey Johnson (Amber) of Bristow and Warren Cobb (Trish); and his siblings, Donnie, Ronnie Johnson, Joyce Holmes, Lois Kirk, Geneva Greenlee and Linda McClain. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mc Mikle Funeral Homes (201 S Center St, Charleston, MO 63834). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Old Bethel Baptist Church (180 Co Rd 449, Sikeston, MO 63801).
