Jim O. Loehr Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim O. Loehr (Edgerton, Missouri), who passed away on December 2, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his spouse LaVena Coston; his children, Joetta Boydston and Randy Loehr; his parents, Leonard Loehr and Mary Wolcott; and his siblings, William, Leonard, Floyd, Roscoe, Mary, Glenn and David.

He is survived by: his son Charles "Rod" Rodney. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt Zion Baptist Church (5705 Co Rd Z, Edgerton, MO 64444). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. He survived a global pandemic without contracting COVID, only to humorously note that he caught rubella for the second time in his life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Jim to: Mt. Zion Baptist Church, PO Box 175, Edgerton, MO 64444.
