She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Dave and Anna Fleak of Hurdland, Missouri.; her parents, Thomas Jefferson "TJ" and Dora L. Fleak Rimer; her sister Helen Rimer; her brother-in-law Francis Sweetman; her siblings, Dortha Sweetman and Thomas Rimer; and her close friend Ralph Waggener.

She is survived by : her husband Ronald Gene Smith. She is also survived by several cousins, some very special to her; great nieces and great nephews; three step-children.
