He was predeceased by: his parents, Geraldine Lee McDowell (Logan) and Joe McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Melissa McDowell; his son Joe Allan McDowell of Edwards; his sisters, Darlene Perry of Manhattan and Verona McDowell of Albuquerque; and his aunt Adeline Stewart of Climax Springs. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evening Shade Mennonite Church (34586 Evening Shade Rd, Edwards, MO 65355).
