Gene Starkey Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene Starkey of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, born in Schell City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 23, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester A. Starkey and Martha Ann Starkey (Alexander); his brother Bill Starkey; and his daughter-in-law Mista Starkey. He is survived by: his wife Janet Denning; his children, Doug Starkey (Amy) of Springfield, MO, Mike Starkey (Chris), Shannon Davis (Paul) of Springfield, MO, Michael Denning (Sara) of Chesapeake, VA and Michelle Nowak (Paul) of Lebanon, OR; his brother Jim Starkey (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Glennise Starkey of Blue Springs, MO.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
