He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bentley and Julia Bentley (Johnson); his sister Lorraine Martin (Bentley); his wife Verdella; and his sons, Gary Bentley and Joseph Bentley.
He is survived by: his children, Edward "Ed" Bentley (Laurel (Wendlandt)) of Stillwater, MN, Mark Bentley (Debbie (Queen)) of Lake Ozark, MO and JoAnne "Joni" Dresdow (Larry) of Terre Haute, IN; and his sister-in-law Ardella Bentley (Mai) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes (902 E North St, Eldon, MO 65026). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Eldon Cemetery (128 County Rd CC-2, Eldon, MO 65026).
