Ruth Atkinson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Atkinson of Eldon, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewel S. Pope and Vecia L. Pope (Barnes); her brothers, Cecil, Leman and Paul; and her in-laws, Tincy Pope, Betty Pope, Dean Atkinson, Spencer Blankenship, Mary and Bob Roberts.
She is survived by: her husband Paul H. Atkinson; her children, Pamela Williams (Dayle), Sharon Truitt (Jeff) and David Atkinson (Gina) of Eldon; her brother Larry Pope (Sandy); her siblings-in-law, Wendall Atkinson (Dorothy), Dollie Pope, Carolyn Blakenship and Pat Atkinson; and her grandchildren, Brandon Scrivner, Niccole Propes (Trey), Brent Scrivner (Danielle), Kayla Dock (Kevin), Michael Atkinson (Jamie), Drew Atkinson, Cody Lewis (Maggie), Robert Williams and Joshua Williams. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eldon Church of the Nazarene (1024 E Lawson Ave, Eldon, MO 65026). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
