He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Earl and Mamie Pearl Bench Ripley; his child Claude Edward, Jr.; and his siblings, Don, Dale, Gene, Delbert, Glen, Bobby, Crystal McKnight and Geraldine Grozinger.

He is survived by : his wife Dorthaia Ripley; his children, Carmen Waterman (Brian), Shawn Ripley (Kay) of Eldridge, MO and Kelly Ripley (Dana) of Eldridge, MO; his grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Samantha Calvert, Clint Bishop, Kyle Bishop (Emily), Bailey Blattel (Craten), Dillon Ripley, Emily Waterman, Dakota Sing and Amanda Sing; his great grandchildren, Lynlea, Dallys, Haigen, Brixxon, Hattie and Isla; and his sister-in-law Dixie Ripley of Eldridge, MO.
