He was predeceased by: his parents, Lon Mitchell and Ida Mitchell (Callahan); his wife Helen (Shipp); his siblings, Raymond Mitchell, JD Mitchell, Bill Mitchell and Barb Knapp; and his son Bruce Mitchell.
He is survived by: his son Vance Mitchell (Julie); his sisters, Beulah Campbell, Lois Shanks, Sue Michael and Betty Slaybaugh; and his grandsons, Justin Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell and Kenny Mitchell. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Turner Family Funeral Home (603 S Sloan St, Maysville, MO 64469). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
