He is survived by: his wife Faye Cowsert of Ellington; his children, Raymond Eugene Cowsert (Jenna) of Trinton, Darrell Wayne Cowsert of Greenville, Cletis Beck (Donna) of Salem, Nancy Darlene Spencer of Moore, Brenda Bradford of Curryville, Connie Williams of Dixon, Patricia Ann Streck (James) of Hennessey, Judy Kay Hovis of Licking, Carol Jean Burchette of Oklahoma City and Betty Louise Anderson (Kevin) of Dixon; and his siblings, James Lloyd Cowsert (Donna) of Cave-In, Gary Cowsert (Phyllis) of Rosiclare, Caroline Lassiter of Michigan, Janice Dion of Elizabethtown, Sandy Carr of Cave-In, Rose Marie Cowsert of Marion and Pam Griffin (Dennis) of Cave-In. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
