He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard C. Stout and Mary Ann Stout (Coker); and his nephew Brandon Stout. He is survived by: his wife Berta Stout of Ellington; his sons, Robert "Bradley" Stout (Kristina) of Jackson and Russell Clay Stout (Paula) of Crown Point; his brothers, Dennis W. Stout of Wichita Falls, Clarence Eugene Stout of Piedmont and Jerry Allen; and his grandchildren, Gabe, Tanner, Devon, Maya and Addison Stout.
