He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Leis and Hulda Leis (Brueggeman); his siblings, Leonard Leis and Rita Acchammar; and his great grandchild James Lane Dement.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Leis of Ellington; his children, Matt Dement (Elaine) of Redford, Michael Werner (Christi) of Van Buren and Lori Flagg of Ellington; and his siblings, Vernon Leis of Waupun, Richard Leis of St. Pete Beach, Bernard Leis of New York and Anita Acchammar of Watertown. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
