She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Ross Kerns and Bessie Leona Kerns (Johnson); her husband Charles "Teed" Whitaker; and her son Roger Whitaker. She is survived by: her son James Whitaker (Donna); her grandchildren, Jacob Whitaker, Adam Whitaker (Kim) and April Bodle (Shaun); her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Levi, Allison, Jace, Chloe and Theodore "Theo"; her brother Albert Kerns; and her daughter-in-law Annette Mercer (Gary). She is also survived by many nieces/nephews and great-nieces/great-nephews.
In memory of Helen, her family suggests memorials to Camp Quality or the Elmo Betterment Club.
