James Leathers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Leathers of Elsberry, Missouri, who passed away on January 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis "Bill" Leathers and Susie Irene Absher Leathers; his daughter Cindy Shires; and his siblings, Bill Leathers, Joe Leathers, Ira Conrad "Connie" Leathers (Ann), Christine Tibbs (Leo) and Geraldine Warren (John).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Leathers of Elsberry; his children, Tim Leathers (Mary) of Mims, FL, Brenda Odle of Bella Vista, AR and Cathy Mitchell of Springfield, MO; his stepdaughter Sara Longo (Ralph) of Bradenton, FL; and his siblings, Danny Leathers (Barb) of Dexter, MO and Patty Stanford of Dexter, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
