He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cox and Dellia Vaughn Cox; his brother Howard Cox (Dorothy); and his brother-in-law LeRoy Colbert. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Cox of Elsberry; his sons, Allen Cox of Elsberry and James Cox (Sibyl) of Elsberry; his stepdaughter Ruth Ann Cox of Nashville, TN.; and his sister Mary Ruth Colbert of Oregon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home (107 S 5th St, Elsberry, MO 63343). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Elsberry City Cemetery (201 Broadway St, Elsberry, MO 63343).
