He was predeceased by: his parents, Aleck Woodrow and Freda Emma Strus Watts; his siblings, Marvin Watts (Sidney Traynor) and Julia; and his sons, Donnie Gene Watts and Lonnie Joseph Watts.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lois Lynnette (Tom) of St. Charles, MO and Sally Suzanna (Mark) of Elsberry; his wife Louise Watts of Elsberry; and his daughter Mona Harshman of Eolia, MO. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
