He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Powers and Betty Jean Nesselhauf Powers; and his grandmother Jennie "Dollie" Richart. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Powers of Elsberry; his children, Michelle Sohovich (David) of Elsberry, Louis Powers (Christi) of St. Charles and Jason Reed (Jennifer) of Troy, MO; his grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan Sohovich, Olivia Harling, Emmit, Kaia, Logan Powers, Lily, Lucas, Liam Reed and Janelle Dunn (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Anthony, Callie and Lance; and his former wife Linda Holland (Rick) of Elsberry.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home (107 S 5th St, Elsberry, MO 63343). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
