She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond E. Mills and Sarah Edna Admire Mills; her siblings, Glenn Mills, Ralph Mills, Laverne "Dutch" Mills, Ray "Jigs" Mills, Jr., Ruth Mills, Oneita Robinson and Mary Velma Robinson; her daughter Tina Simpson; and her stepdaughter-in-law Judy Owens.
She is survived by: her son Harlan Scherrer of Cuba, MO; and her stepchildren, Stephanie Morris (Roy) of Elsberry, Tammy Wombles of Shenzhen, John "Johnny" Watts Owens of Dardenne Prairie, MO and William "Billy Wade" Owens (Donna) of Bowling Green, MO. She is also survived by several cousins, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elsberry City Cemetery (201 Broadway St, Elsberry, MO 63343).
