He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Schuerman; his parents, Martin Schuerman and Sarah Schuerman; his granddaughter Ariccca Nicholle; and his stepdaughter Annette Boarders.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin Schuerman, Jr. (Libby), Hope Schuerman, Penny Nienaber (Steve), Dawn Ellis, Mike Schuerman and Joy Schuerman; his stepchildren, Tammy Boarders and Mike Boarders; his siblings, Shirley Engelbrecht, Lena Mae Schulte, Dorothy Schulte, Martin Schuerman, Rosiey Hayeslip and Lonnie Schuerman; and his grandchildren, Christopher Boman, Bradley Schuerman, Heather Kinder, Jessica Brawley, Matthew, Josh Schuerman, Terri Adams, Kindra Nichols, Tabitha, Kayla Schuerman, Lindsay, Tyler Nienaber, Dillen Sperry, Gabriella Enloe, Kameron Ellis, Hunter Parson, Kathy Green, Jesse and Jason Parson. He is also survived by 35 Great-Grandchildren, several Great-Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many many friends.
