He is survived by: his children, Mary Lynn Tetreau (Cory) of Illinois and Dennis Wayne Cooley (Danielle) of Maryland; his wife Ruby; his grandchildren, Livia Jones of St. Louis, Tybee Maclay Jones, Augustin Chatham Jones of Illinois, Dexter Douglas Cooley and Desmond Marshall Cooley of Maryland; and his siblings, J. D. Cooley and Clara Cooley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Yarber Mortuary-Eminence (18221 Main St, Eminence, MO 65466). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Yarber Mortuary (18221 Main St, Eminence, MO 65466). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Francis Cemetery.
