The passing of Madeline Hopkins of Ethel, Missouri leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 93. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Welsh and Blanche Welsh (Lynch); her husband Milton John Hopkins III; her daughter Charlotte Grady (Tom); and her siblings, Phyllis DeGonia, Lillian DeGonia, Maxine Boschert, Patrick Welsh, Margaret Eiseman and Blanche Preston.
She is survived by: her children, John Hopkins (Michele), Linda Bingaman (Gary), Mary Witt (Doral), Paul Hopkins (Gina) and Sandra Hopkins. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Baue Funeral Home (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301). Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis (4431 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Charles Memorial Gardens (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School-Cottleville or Queen of All Saints St. Vincent de Paul Conference, honoring Mrs. Hopkins' lifelong spirit of faith and service.
