He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Joanne Elizabeth Coakley Miller (Edwards); his stepfather Jeff Miller; his brother James Michael "Mike" Coakley; and his father-in-law Arthur Rockers.
He is survived by: his wife Jacquelyn "Jackie" Coakley; his daughter Megan Cook (Brad); his stepdaughters, Leslie Torres (Michael), Ashley Philbert and Chelsea Wright; his grandchildren, Jack Cook, Elizabeth Cook, Paisley Torres, Aiden Torres, Stella Petty and Vaeda Petty; his mother-in-law Judy Rockers; his siblings-in-law, Philip Rockers (Trish), Paul Rockers (Tina Wibberg) and Kathy Jarman (Bob); his nephew Sean Coakley (Denise); his aunt Jane Edwards; his cousins, Mark Edwards (Stephanie) and Debi Switzer (David); his nieces, Danielle Edwards and Kati Parrett (Alex); and his great-niece Anna Gaither (Will).
