Rush (Lightner); his grandson Chesney Thomas Rush; his brothers, LaRue Rush, Robert Rush (Bob), Gerald Rush, Harry Rush and Marvin Rush; his siblings-in-law, Ottolene Rush, Judy Rush, Louise Rush, Edith Wyatt and Bob Wehkamp; and his niece Donna Rush.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Marie Kempker (Matt) of Eugene, MO., Roy Dale Rush (Torey) of Eugene, MO and Jason LaMarr Rush (Stacy) of Eldon, MO.; his grandchildren, Brenden Matthew, Connor William Kempker, Roy Dakota, Grayson Levi Sammy Rush, Elizabeth Breann Mukandila (Jabez), Austin LaMarr Rush and Aiden Jeffery Smith; his great grandchild Mercedes Hope Mukandila (Mercy); his brother Kenny Rush; his siblings-in-law, Rosetta Rush, Sharon Rush, Vivian Wehkamp, Irma Reimer (Everett), Lloyd Lightner (Jane), Robert Lightner, Gerald Lightner (Kathleen) and Kyle Lightner (Kim); his pet BJ; and his friend Chevy.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eldon Church of the Nazarene (1024 E Lawson Ave, Eldon, MO 65026). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in his name are suggested to the Eldon Church of the Nazarene Children's Program, the Rush Chapel Cemetery of Eugene, MO, or the Chesney Rush Memorial Scholarship.
