It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dave Whitaker of Eureka, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Whitaker and Pearl Whitaker; his sons, Rockey Whitaker and Ricky Whitaker; and his sister Bonnie Quick.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Whitaker; his sons, Robby Politte (Ed), Steve Bowen (Julye) and David Bowen (Christine); his grandchildren, Spencer Whitaker, Shayna Hayes, Shelby Whitaker, Ryan Whitaker, Brady Politte, Bailey Politte, Stephanie Bowen, Matthew Bowen and Lauren Bowen; and his daughter-in-law Tracy Whitaker. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other extended family.
