He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Delaney and Betty Delaney; his spouse Beverly A. Delaney; and his grandson Dillon Gittemeier. He is survived by: his children, Edward Delaney II (Amy) and Kathleen Gittemeier; his grandchildren, Eric Delaney, Kayla Zeisler, Brandon Donahue, Brady Donahue and Gavin Gittemeier; his great grandchild Colton Zeisler; his sister Linda Hayes (late Larry); and his close friends, Mike Mosier and Jim Zaricor.
