He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Clifton and Melva Clifton; his siblings, Carl Clifton and Carol; his brother-in-law Ronald Judy; his in-laws, Pat and Martha Switzer; his brother-in-law Larry Switzer; his nephew Jeff Clifton; and his niece Linda Clifton.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his son Chris Ward; his daughter-in-law Cassie; his grandsons, Layne and Bryson Ward; his siblings-in-law, Carol Clifton, Patty Garrison (Billy), Dotty Baumann (David), Cindy Breese, Annie Switzer and Jim Switzer (Teresa); and his niece Trish Bruder. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dirks Fund, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
