He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Mesmer; and his great grandchild Everly Monroe Schaefer. He is survived by: his children, Stacey Schaefer (Rick) of Quincy, IL and David Mesmer (Angie) of Perry, MO; and his grandson Gavin Schaefer (Laken) of Quincy, IL..
