He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Swope and Bitha Swope (Clevenger); his siblings, Evanell, Adeana, Annabell, Maudie, Ivan, Lee, Jim and Farrell; and his sons, Terry Swope and Eward Swope.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Holder and Wesley Swope. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
