He was predeceased by: his stepmother Vickie; his parents, Sarah and Ben Hankins, Jr.; and his brother Billy D. O'Dell. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hankins (McGaugh); his sons, Steven Hankins (Amy) and Shane Hankins (Danielle); his grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Natalie, Ryan, Colin and Maggie; and his siblings, Dorothy Menegatos (Nathan), James Hankins (Mariana) and Tim Hankins (Barbara). He is also survived by many in-laws, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs (1650 Rainbow Blvd, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
