He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Summers (Studdard) and William "Jack" Summers; his siblings, Jackie Summers, Betty Jo Minton and Bonnie Sloan; his sons, Bobby Summers and Jack Summers; and his grandson Samuel Summers.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Summers (Webb); and his children, Jeanne Reed and Bill Summers (Sue). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
