As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Clara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elemon Barber and Marie Barber (Richardson); her significant other James D. Guth; and her daughter Georgia Lee Herndin. She is survived by: her children, Jarold David Gallaway of Warsaw, Missouri, Arthur Gallaway (Denise) of Richmond, Missouri, Tanya Clark of Lawson, Missouri, Sonya Light of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Tina Wood (David) of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; and her sister Twillia Adams (Troy) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bross & Spidle Funeral Home (217 W Broadway Ave, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024). A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
